We’re excited to be announcing the launch of our sister studio, M LAB. M LAB is a private gym offering personal training in Clifton, Bristol, and providing the highest level of coaching, and of course results!

WHAT IS PERSONAL TRAINING?



Personal training is more than a way to get fitter. Personal trainers accelerate the path to better movement, they can help you reduce pain, build muscle, recover after a baby, or lose weight.  The key is that your personal training program delivers results. 

 

That’s what we’re here to do.



M LAB is designed to be the only place you need to meet your fitness goals.

But since gyms can range from ‘bodybuilding’ to ‘budget’ and everything in between, how do you know that M LAB is the right place for you to do personal training?

Firstly, not all personal trainers are equal. Just like doctors, there are GP’s who know a little bit about everything, and then there are specialists, who are able to dig deeper and provide expert support. At M LAB, we make sure that you’ve got access to the very best personal trainers in Bristol, though our in-house training programs and education. Think of us like your private team of specialists, in everything from postnatal fitness, to nutrition, to weight loss or strength training.


We don’t just give you ONE trainer, you get access to our whole team of experts, who work together to create a plan with your body in mind.


ABOUT OUR PERSONAL TRAINING PLANS

We believe that success with your fitness goals isn’t found by simply booking a few sessions. Instead, we create start to finish programs that are tailored to you, so that you have a complete map to getting those results you want.

Why? Because we know that training around 3 times a week will get you results. You don’t have to train with us for all of those sessions. In fact, you might see our personal trainers for one session a week and supplement with the at-home plan as ‘homework’. Or, you might train 3 times with us, and fill in the gaps with fitness classes or HIIT classes.

Your map will be unique for you. But we don’t want to see you waste your time and money paying for 10 sessions here and there, with no real structure, and no real results. That’s why we’ve created our personal training packages.



How long will it take to see results from personal training?

That depends on where you’re starting from, and where you want to go. If you’re new to working out, then you’ll see very quick progress from the first couple of weeks working with your personal trainer.

If you’ve been exercising for a while, and you’re trying to lose the last 5lbs, or lift that extra 5kg, then it can mean a more nuanced approach and tweaking your plan to eek out that extra 1% that’s going to get you there.

Most of our clients can have extraordinary success with a 12 week cycled program, but we’ll talk about realistic goals and how to get there when we meet you in the studio for your first visit.

Our 12 week fat loss program, designed to take you from beginner-at-the-gym or needing-a-reset to fitter, healthier and leaner. This program focuses on fitness, strength, nutrition and fat loss, while helping you build a more defined physique.

If your goal is to add muscle and get stronger, without necessarily having a fat loss goal, then this is the program for you. We bring elements of strength and conditioning to this hypertrophy focused plan. Eating for gains is key, so nutrition is always a top consideration and support is given to help you get there. Muscle up is also a fantastic program if you’re keen to build strength, or regain loss of muscle mass from ageing, or injury.

This is the program for women, aged 35+ who want to get in shape, but are struggling with hormonal balance, finding that what used to work before doesn’t work anymore. Taking into account fitness, food and lifestyle factors is the key. Ideal for tackling at the start of peri-menopause and throughout menopause, this program can be taken 100% online or as a hybrid, with online coaching and in-studio fitness sessions.

Our special postnatal fitness program for Bristol mums, this program is designed to support you from the first few weeks post-birth (yes, that includes thinking about pelvic floor health before the 6 week check up, so that you’re actually ready to train safely once you’ve settled into motherhood. This program is ideal as a 1:1 program and can be taken online, with monthly private sessions, or as a personal training program. (Once you’ve completed the rehab stage of this program, we might pair you with other mums with similar goals, so that you’ve got the support, community and social network that makes training a welcome break.)
